As subscribers of this newsletter know, I do love hanging out with cats. My main cat (and general director of my life) is still my number one — but I've expanded my work to take care of even more by the docks at LIC!

I've joined this small band of cat feeders/trap+neuter/spay+returners and we each take an AM and PM shift refilling water and food bowls, making sure these little fellas can stay around.

There's one main cat at the main feeding site we call Gatsby, and her brothers are also there as well. The main feeding site has the most cats but they don't really show up — but I presume that do since the food is empty when I get there.

Personally, my favorite cat is Gramp! Grumpy looking guy. He's apparently sixteen years old.

I've also seen some other animals like geese and really got spooked by a raccoon once haha.

Environment note: Now I am not sure of the environmental impact, but since there was already a big city here any environmental impact the cats could have is maybe superceded by that of the city?
