Recently it has been very very cold in New York! It’s been getting close to 0F (if not past it) and with the wind chill and all it is FOR SURE getting down there. To my esteemed subscribers living in California or Singapore — you do NOT know what this feels like.

Below freezing, the cold in New York (or any humid environment) transforms into a crisp clean air. No more do I have to suffer through the strangely humid above freezing air making everything colder. At this sub-20% humidity level, snow doesn’t even pack together to form a snowball.

Despite being from California this is actually not my first time being in such “brick” weather — I was present for the infamous -43F/C wind chill day at Purdue (located in Indiana, which is located south of Chicago) and that indeed was hell. People were doing the thing where they were throwing boiling water into the air and it would explode into a cloud of snow/ice and I was aptly bundled up in like 4-5 layers.

It’s been no different lately in New York. I’m walking around going to hang out with friends wearing four layers: rain jacket, puffy jacket, sweater and t shirt. If it’s especially cold I’ll throw on the thermals but honestly the rain jacket blocks all of the wind and the puffy jacket just keeps me warm!

The cats I feed have been managing well too! The feeding group I’m a part of has been putting in hand warmers pretty regularly and the cats seem to love it a lot. And so here are some pics of the cats. Stay warm everyone!

I haven’t really been watching many movies this year but the oldest movie I have watched is “Meet Me in St. Louis” which was kind of strange because everyone in the movie pronounced it St. Loo-ey but I am pretty sure it’s Loo-is? Released in 1944 lol.

• anoni watched a 1926 german silent film back-to-back with a 1943 hollywood movie and it's mind boggling how much film technology advanced in less than 20 years. whereas now, the only things that impress ppl are green screen/CGI slop....sad
