Hi all,

I was talking with esteemed subscriber Junghyun Choy and they joked the culture fit interviews seem so arbitrary and they really could be anything. So here's a list of funny things I think culture fit interviews could consist of:

• Having ten tries to say the same word at the same time as the PM that's interviewing you. This would signal to the company that you are already on the same page as the PM.
• The interviewer hums the beginning to a song and you have to finish. This would also signal to the company that you understand the rhyme and rhythm of the workplace.
• Five tries to recreate the famous Dwyane Wade and LeBron James dunk photo. This would tell the company that you are a team player and are ready to knock down a few slam dunk milestones.
• Be able to run multiple miles while carrying stones. The company can tell from this exercise that you are ready to shoulder the burden of 15 junior devs and lead them to sprint mecca.

musical item of the week

Started the week off strong by listening to Childish Gambino's new album, Bando Stone and the New World. Personally, I think it's a fairly strong effort that is fairly reminiscent of old Childish Gambino and my favorite track is for sure the title track Lithonia. Definitely feels like background music sometimes (because it's literally for his new movie) but would recommend a listen to at least Lithonia.
