Good morning everyone! Welcome to the post-TikTok reality. OR NOT!?!?!? I initially wanted to get a little political and silly but I figured that I’d be maybe the only non-political newsletter so in your mailbox.

Well, I am traveling right now. And my beloved e-reader broke.

I had loaded up a lot of books id wanted to read but now a part of the screen can’t change anymore. So RIP to my second to last piece of technology using micro USB. You were a real one.

In its stead I’ve been using the Apple Books app. And while scrolling through pages is awesome, nothing beats soaring through a book on an e reader held 2 inches away from your face at night. I briefly considered the Kindle app but decided that I would not support Amazon and instead support other booksellers. I’m not sure whether this is a silly effort but sound off in the replies, texts and submissions!

~12 pounds of frozen chicken breast

Yeah I forgot to measure before I left on my trip. I only had two things which I will start eating:

  • seared chicken breast 2/10: not saying all seared chicken breast sucks … but this one was operator error
  • scallion/garlic poached chicken 5/10: to be totally honest this recipe called for ginger. Well, guess what else I froze and is also kind of yellow. Yeah. Garlic.

Yeah adding a chicken breast recipe every week might be kinda fun. I’ll try when I return from vacation and I’ll let everyone know! Speaking of … what’s your current dream vacation???

  • anonymous subscriber suggests Japanese curry with chicken breast! Cubed potato, carrot, onion, chicken. You can boil the chicken with the veggies if you want or cook separately. Drain some water and add blocks of golden curry, stir until sauce is thickened. Eat over rice or noodles! Reheats well :)

  • anonymous subscriber would feed [chicken breast] to Simba as he craves it so much
  • anonymous subscriber would grind it up into a powder and then use it to repair the holes in the wall like instant ramen
  • anonymous subscriber would I would have the chicken make my phone calls for me because it is icy cold and unstressed
  • anonymous subscriber would make the chicken quit being frozen, cold turkey
  • anonymous subscriber would I would use the chicken as ice in a drinks cooler
